Arrcus Triples Bookings in 2021 and Announces 10th Patent in Hyperscale Networking

Spurred by demanding network needs, the adoption of the Arrcus Connected Edge (ACE) platform is rapidly expanding across customers in key industries including retail, communications, web and financial services. The company grew headcount at a rapid pace, adding 30% in just the fourth quarter with new CEO Shekar Ayyar at the helm.
Arrcus also announced its 10th US patent in the area of hyperscale networking, this one focused on Segment Routing. Secure and efficient routing has become a mission-critical requirement for cloud, edge, and 5G — the underlying infrastructure powering Web 3.0 applications such as AI/ML for store automation in retail, latency-sensitive AR/VR in gaming, and massive scale for block-chain transactions in decentralized finance. These Web 3.0 applications require a distributed, disaggregated, virtual and software-driven connected edge network to ensure performance at scale. Arrcus’ ACE platform supported by patents like the most recent one for segment routing is ideally built for this new world.

The latest patent that Arrcus has been awarded, is for speeding up Segment ID allocation – a critical factor in accelerating internet traffic and content delivery over the web. Segment Routing (SRv6) protocol is getting increasingly popular as telecom carriers look to connect their 5G networks to the IP infrastructure. The distributed allocation of SRv6 Segment IDs helps eliminate latencies and complexities involved in the creation and maintenance of these IDs. This patent adds to others awarded to Arrcus for routing optimization covering topics such as virtualized routing, computational offload, and loop conflict avoidance.

This solution built using Arrcus’ ACE network platform will be demonstrated in VMware’s stand 3M11 in Hall 3.
